We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business: CTO

Principal responsibilities

• Work collaboratively, on rotational shifts, in a Global Batch Operations team (In follow-the-sun model)
• Monitor Incident ticket queue and Alert Console for batch issues and follow Standard Operating Procedures to recover level1 batch issues
• Undertake batch recovery actions on Control-M, IWS, CA7 and IBM i batches
• Escalate Batch issues to Application Support teams within the stipulated SLAs
• Create and maintain procedures for any new Application batches and tasks
• Engage in a timely and effective way with Stakeholders from IT Infrastructure, Incident Management and Business teams during crisis calls to support recovery of Application batches
• Demonstrate efficiency in managing & delivering tasks independently
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with stakeholders, both written and verbal.
• Provide timely and accurate status updates on any issues or work requests
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and under own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountability

• Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures. •
