Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Responsible for providing application infrastructure (middleware) support for Worldline customers environment (production, DR, SIT/UAT)
Job Responsibilities:
Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing on-prem production and DR system for Worldline Core application, Web & mobile apps, API, etc.. across multiple platform- testing and implement patches, updates and fixes for middleware and DB as necessary following established Change Management Process
- Ensuring the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
- Ensuring system comply to security policies, Taiwan Regulatory and are properly remediated if any non-conformity
- Perform regular system capacity planning & batch trending analysis to ensure and upkeep system hygiene and cater for organic growth and biz expansion
- Assess operational readiness of new products / applications / flows for on-boarding to production
- Work closely with application team, 3rd party including customers, to Identify and prioritize area of service improvement to increase overall IT service delivery quality
- Take ownership of related incident and progress through closure. Perform root cause analysis, provide corrective and preventive solution in timely according to SLA, and accurate manner. Escalate case to next level for further investigation if unable to resolve on time
- Establish close interactions with team members and other respective stakeholders especially in on trouble shooting and problem resolution.
- Document and/or update technical documents, problem resolution, testing, related operation process/procedures, DR plan, etc..
- Perform regular database schema changes with no downtime
- Automate recurring DBA tasks
- Seek performance issues and suggest optimizations
- Provide Out of office hours on call support
Job Requirement:
5 - 6 years SRE experience implementing and maintaining on-premises applications that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing- BSc degree in Software Engineering or IT equivalent
- Good knowledge on setting up application Infrastructure environment & debugging Application Infra issues
- DevOps experience, CI/CD pipelines tools and applications (CI/CD Pipeline, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, Jenkins, etc)
- Project experience in ADFS integration, Reverse Proxy setup and configuration
- Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
- Disaster Recovery design and deployment
- Experience of supporting data backup technologies.
- Experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming (Jenkins, Java)
- Good knowledge of development practices and ability to write clear and concise documentation (such as requirements, design and testing procedures)
- Experience with Linux RedHat and any Worldline Middleware
- Experience with MySQL Enterprise including administration and associated challenges with performance and growth
- Experienced with SQL and stored routines
- Multi-functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
- Great interpersonal and communication skills including English
- Willing to learn new software, systems and new platform
- Good analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team.
