JOB SUMMARY:
- The role consists of three principal accountabilities which are Medical Affairs and Clinical Services Development.
- Assist GHCE to integrate the strategic plan of the organization with hospital operations in the areas of Clinical Services Development, Clinical Excellence, and Education.
- Responsible for the efficient execution of activities in relation to the three principal accountabilities and delivery of services designed to meet the needs of patients, doctors, customers, and employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Medical Affairs:
- Work with GHCE and HCMO on medical specialists’ recruitment.
- Develop and support activities related to clinical governance improvement.
- Develop and support the hospital in activities of accreditation and licensing.
- Support Medical Director/PIC in areas of clinical governance, accreditation, and day-to-day medical/clinical operation matters.
- Participate in handling complaints, MOH queries/complaints, and Medico-legal cases together with Quality and HBOD.
- Continuous engagement with HCMO.
- Participate in Infection Control committees and initiatives.
Clinical Services Development:
- Identify and expand areas of clinical services to improve the comprehensiveness of service offerings.
- Develop resource plans to support the growth of clinical services, including identification and assessment of technology and equipment, medical specialists, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee hospital benchmarking projects, especially in relation to individual specialties.
- Overseeing the tabulation of the census (doctors’ practice and clinical equipment).
- Develop and support activities related to continuous medical education.
Others:
- Participate in learning and development programs to upgrade own knowledge and skills required for the job.
- Function as a liaison and intermediary between the hospital, its subsidiary(s), and associate entity(s) if any.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Up to 10 years of working experience in related fields with 3 years experience in medium to large and complex. private hospital operations at a senior to top management leadership level.
- Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills.
- Proven success in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/computer skills.
- Attention to detail and quality orientated.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good initiative.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Medicine or Hospital Administration. The Master’s in Health or Business Administration would be advantageous.
